What to expect from your programme/session
Before your first session
Before your first session you will be sent 2 online forms to complete. One is for and health conditions that may impact exercise. I do this to establish if a GP sign off is required before partaking in exercise programmes as some medications can be impacted by exercise or there may be some types of exercise your GP may recommend you avoid and even exercise types to add in. The second is a health questionnaire which is to have a look at what type of programme will best suit your lifestyle and how we can collectively incorporate your programme into your routine as it is important that any programme is realistic for you. This will also allow you to have a think about what you would like to get out of your programme and will also help me to create a bespoke plan to assist you with achieving your goals.
During your first session
During your first session, I will go over any questions I have from your forms and go into your goals with a little more detail. Fitness assessments will be carried out (these are not intense and focus on core strength, mobility and flexibility). From here we will have an introduction into the equipment (weights and cardio) followed by a 30-minute taster session.
After your first session
After your first session, have a think if the environment is right for you and if I am right for you too! If you are happy and would like to commit to a programme, you can either book block sessions (4,8,12) or you can book session by session. From here, I will then use all of the information collected from the questionnaires and from conversations during the first session to create your bespoke plan. As we go through your plan, week by week, you will of course have the chance to change exercises, change equipment as you see fit. This is your workout and your programme!
How will I know my own progress?
Once you have decided to commit to a programme, you will be set up with an account for "Mypthub" here, all of your workouts will be added with your weights, repetitions, sets and any other notes taken during your session. This is accessible to you whenever you like AND you can add all of your measurements so you can see your progress 24/7
I will be on hand to offer support outside of the programme if you need the accountability, this is useful if you are running my nutrition assessment alongside your exercise programme.
